Catalina Island Company is seeking a Casino Operations Assistant to support daily operations at the Avalon Theatre and Wrigley Ballroom. You will guide, sell tickets, assist guests, and manage concessions as part of a dynamic island experience.

The role requires first-rate customer service, willingness to learn history, and the ability to work a flexible schedule in a fast-paced environment on Catalina Island.

Qualifications

• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Passion for history and architecture.
• Basic math skills and ability to handle transactions accurately.

Responsibilities

• Operate point of sale system to sell tickets for events and tours.
• Provide guests with information about pricing and schedules.
• Handle cash and credit card transactions.
• Prepare and serve snacks, beverages, and other concession items according to health and safety guidelines.
• Maintain stock and restock items as needed.
• Greet guests warmly and provide assistance with inquiries or special requests.
• Address and resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally.
• Execute casino opening and closing duties.
• Operate lighting, sound, and projection equipment.
• Perform janitorial and housekeeping tasks.
• Lead groups of visitors through the historical building, delivering accurate and engaging information about its history and importance to Catalina Island.
