Job summary

ArborMetrics Solutions, LLC is seeking a Work Planner to join our vegetation management team. The role involves outdoor field work, right-of-way access, data collection, and coordinating with clients and leadership to ensure safe and compliant operations.

Ideal candidates have forestry-related education or UVM experience, GIS and Microsoft Office proficiency, and the ability to work independently in varying weather and terrain conditions.

Qualifications

• Must have knowledge of tree species identification and hazard assessment.
• Ability to hike/drive long hours and work outdoors in varying conditions.
• Experience with Utility Vegetation Management (UVM) practices preferred.
• ISA certification or equivalent is required.
• 2–3 years of UVM experience with forestry or related degree, or 3–5 years without degree.

Responsibilities

• Identify and report safety hazards and incidents.
• Drive to work sites and hike rights-of-way up to 10 miles/day.
• Inspect and document vegetation work at customer properties.
• Record vegetation data using tablets and specialized software.
• Communicate with leadership, auditors, clients, contractors, landowners, and the public.
• Participate in storm and emergency response duties as needed.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned.
