Job summary

Platform Recruitment is seeking an Integrated Safety Analysis (ISA) Manager to lead safety analysis for a Test Loop facility and a planned uranium enrichment facility. The role ensures hazard identification, safety controls, and regulatory compliance, with oversight of internal and contractor ISA contributors.

Office-based role with onsite work in Wilmington, NC, requiring up to 10% travel and extended hours when needed. 5+ years in nuclear safety and a related engineering degree are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 5+ years' experience in nuclear engineering, nuclear operations, or nuclear safety.
• 2+ years' experience working in a nuclear operations environment.
• Strong writing, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating across multidisciplinary teams.
• U.S. Citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain DOE/NRC Q-Clearance.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% and work extended hours when required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and maintain ISA licensing and regulatory deliverables.
• Provide technical oversight of internal and contractor ISA contributors.
• Lead HAZOP, What-If/Checklist, FMEA, and other structured hazard analyses.
• Develop accident scenarios and identify credible accident sequences.
• Define and document Items Relied on for Safety (IROFS) and associated management measures.
• Support regulatory and licensing submissions and coordinate external consultants.
• Provide ISA guidance across design reviews, readiness reviews, and procedure development.
• Drive continuous improvement across hazard analysis, safety controls, and documentation.
