Job summary

General Matter is seeking an experienced Integrated Safety Analysis (ISA) Leader to shape the safety foundation for a new NRC-licensed uranium enrichment facility regulated under 10 CFR Part 70.

This role offers the opportunity to expand the ISA program, influence facility design from early engineering through operations, and partner with NRC while building a high-performing safety team dedicated to national energy security.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemical, mechanical, nuclear, or related engineering field; advanced degree preferred.
• 8+ years in nuclear safety analysis or high-hazard environments, with 3+ years in a leadership role.
• Experience developing ISA, SAR, or equivalent safety basis documents.
• Expertise in ISA and PHA methods like HAZOP, What-If, and FMEA; familiar with criticality, fire, external hazards
• Experience working with regulators and translating requirements into executable programs
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to collaborate across teams

Responsibilities

• Build, own, and improve the ISA program per 10 CFR Part 70 Subpart H.
• Develop procedures, standards, tools, training, and risk-informed decisions.
• Lead ISA Summary, Safety Analysis Report, license materials, NRC responses.
• Mentor and manage ISA engineers and safety analysts.
