Job summary

Platform Recruitment is seeking an Integrated Safety Analysis (ISA) Manager to lead safety analysis for a Test Loop facility and a planned uranium enrichment facility. The role ensures hazard identification, safety controls, and regulatory compliance, with oversight of internal and contractor ISA contributors.

Office-based role with onsite work in Wilmington, NC, requiring up to 10% travel and extended hours when needed. 5+ years in nuclear safety and a related engineering degree are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 5+ years' experience in nuclear engineering, nuclear operations, or nuclear safety.
• 2+ years' experience working in a nuclear operations environment.
• Strong writing, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating across multidisciplinary teams.
• U.S. Citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain DOE/NRC Q-Clearance.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% and work extended hours when required.

• Drive continuous improvement across hazard analysis, safety controls, and documentation.

My client, a leading organisation developing next-generation nuclear technology, is looking for an Integrated Safety Analysis (ISA) Manager to lead the safety analysis programme for both its Test Loop facility and planned production-scale uranium enrichment facility. The role will ensure hazards are systematically identified, safety controls are clearly defined, and regulatory requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and maintain ISA licensing and regulatory deliverables

• Advanced degree in Nuclear Engineering
• Experience in the nuclear fuel cycle, uranium enrichment, or UF6 handling
• EPC, commissioning, or operations experience within nuclear or chemical processing facilities
• Knowledge of NRC licensing, nuclear safety regulations, and NQA-1 / ISO quality systems
