Job summary

Versiti, Inc. in Grand Rapids, MI seeks a part-time IS Trainee to assist the Information Systems team with entry-level tasks aligned to a computer-related degree.

You will help install, maintain, upgrade, and decommission network hardware and software, support service desk operations, and collaborate with colleagues to meet department goals while balancing school schedules. No prior work experience required; strong communication and organizational skills, and completion of computer coursework

Qualifications

• High school graduate pursuing a degree in a computer-related field.
• No prior work experience required; PC experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Must have completed computer-related coursework.
• Ability to read and interpret SOPs and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Gains understanding and assists IS staff in installing, maintaining, upgrading, and decommissioning network hardware and software.
• Assist with special projects as assigned.
• Maintains the customer service standards of the department and Versiti.
• Communicates clearly and respectfully with customers, donors, and colleagues, sharing all necessary information.
• Works effectively with team members, contributing to team efforts.
• Supports Versiti’s mission, vision, and values as well as department goals and objectives
• Performs other duties as assigned
