Qualifications

• Juris Doctor and a CA license to practice law.
• 2+ years of civil litigation or pre-litigation experience in personal injury.
• Experience as lead counsel managing PI files from start to finish.
• Experience preparing cases for trial.
• Expert discovery experience, including taking/defending depositions.
• Mediation experience as lead attorney.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to mentor junior attorneys.
• Strong negotiation and understanding of PI case valuation.

Responsibilities

• Review cases with the team, set strategy and goals.
• Prioritize cases and manage settlements.
• Conduct introductory calls with new clients and manage relationships on major cases.
• Draft complaints and ensure correct parties are named within statute of limitations.
• Oversee expert discovery and depositions.
• Lead key depositions and mediator engagements.
• Prepare for and try cases with Associates' support.
• Lead weekly team meetings and report to leadership.
