Job summary

TORKLAW in Irvine, CA seeks a Pre-Litigation Attorney to own personal injury cases from intake to settlement, offering high accountability and mentorship. You should bring 5+ years of PI experience and a solid grasp of California PI law.

You will analyze liability, negotiate with carriers, and guide clients through the legal process with strong communication and organizational skills. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus, and a collaborative team environment supports growth.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of plaintiff personal injury experience preferred.
• Active attorney in good standing.
• Strong understanding of California personal injury law and procedures.
• Experience managing a significant personal injury caseload.
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to evaluate risk, leverage, and case value.
• Excellent client communication and empathetic client service.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to own cases from start to finish.
• Willingness to work independently while contributing to a team.
• Ability to make strategic decisions and advocate for clients.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of personal injury cases from intake through settlement and develop strategy.
• Analyze liability, damages, and case value; review medical records and evidence.
• Draft/draft review of demand packages and legal documents; negotiate with carriers.
• Evaluate settlement offers and provide strategic recommendations.
• Collaborate with legal assistants, case managers, medical professionals, and colleagues to move cases forward.
• Communicate effectively with clients and set expectations throughout the process.
