Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Personal Injury Team Lead Attorney in Irvine, CA. This role involves leading a team of attorneys and support staff, managing a portfolio of personal injury cases, and ensuring successful outcomes through strategic planning and execution.

Duties

• Review new cases with the team, set strategy and goals, and identify necessary tasks.
• Prioritize cases: build high-value cases and resolve those suitable for settlement.
• Conduct introductory calls with new clients and manage relationships on major cases.
• Draft complaints and ensure correct parties are named within the statute of limitations.
• Manage expert discovery, including designating and deposing experts.
• Take and defend key depositions, including those of high-value plaintiffs and defendants.
• Prepare for and attend high-value mediations; negotiate settlements within authority.
• Prepare and try cases with support from Associates.
• Set and track the team's weekly demand cadence and prepare demands on major files.
• Review all court filings and ensure compliance with AI use policy.
• Lead team meetings, one-on-ones, coaching, conflict resolution, and report weekly to leadership.
