Job summary

TIC - The Industrial Company is seeking a skilled structural steel erector in Texas to layout, install and assemble steel components on industrial sites according to blueprints and specs. You will hoist, position and weld steel members with cranes and signaling equipment as needed.

Read drawings, follow safety rules, and work with erection crews and tools to meet project deadlines. This role requires physical stamina and adherence to site safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with field experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and translate them into material needs.
• Proficient with electrical, hand tools, power tools and layout/measuring tools.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints to determine materials.
• Fabricate steel parts per blueprints or supervisor instructions.
• Hoist and position prefabricated steel units using cranes.
• Verify alignment of steel members with plumb bobs or laser tools.
• Cut, bend, or weld steel pieces.
• Assemble hoisting equipment for heavy items.
• Estimate sizes, distances and quantities; review project needs.
