Job summary

Johnson Controls Energy Solutions Development Engineer operates as a subject matter expert in a national support team within Johnson Controls Building Solutions North America. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 2 years working with IRA Home Energy Rebate funding.
• Current relationship with States administering IRA Home Energy Rebate funding programs.
• Certifications to operate within IRA DOE Rebate requirements: ASHRAE BEAP, CE Energy Auditor/Manager, HERS/RESA, energy code/verification related.

Responsibilities

• Establish the Contractor Approval Path for IRA/DOE rebate programs and requirements.
• Build and track the approval checklist for licenses, certifications, insurance, and deadlines.
• Coordinate communications among JCI, customers, subcontractors, and program administrators.
• Confirm operational readiness cover installation, reporting, and documentation.
• Align JCI offerings to rebate requirements and customer needs.
• Support solution design and rebate capture ensuring cost, scope, and sequencing compliance.
• Maintain documentation and compliance for approvals and post-installation records.
