Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking an Energy Solutions Development Engineer to act as a subject matter expert within a national support team for Building Solutions North America.

The role focuses on leading IRA rebate capture initiatives, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring compliance and timely documentation across projects. Reporting to the Living Spaces Vertical Market Director, you will drive strategy, track rebate opportunities by state, and align procurement,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a core engineering field from an accredited university or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 2 years working with Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) Home Energy Rebate funding.
• Certifications to operate within IRA DOE Rebate requirements (list of certifications)
• Strong problem solving, organizational, and prioritization skills with high attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Teams, Adobe, Visio, MS Project, Windows and internet business applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional teams in development of multiple components of bundled sales.
• Develop rebate strategies and tracking systems for IRA rebates across states.
• Coordinate with internal teams, public housing authorities, contractors, energy consultants, and state energy offices.
• Prepare and submit rebate applications; respond to program questions and maintain documentation.
• Ensure compliance with local codes, regulations, and statutes; manage project documentation.
