Job summary

Johnson Controls Building Solutions North America seeks an Energy Solutions Development Engineer as a subject matter expert for a national support team. The role spans design, energy engineering, and sales-cycle support for the Living Spaces vertical market, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.

You will coordinate IRA/DOE rebate programs, work with housing authorities, contractors, and state energy offices, develop rebate strategy, manage submissions and documentation, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 5 years in related energy engineering or solutions roles.
• Experience with IRA/DOE rebates and program administration.
• Strong understanding of federal/state regulations affecting living spaces projects.
• Proven ability to manage multiple components through a sales cycle.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional teams in development of bundled sale components for Living Spaces projects.
• Develop and track rebate strategies, deadlines, and documentation across states.
• Coordinate with Johnson Controls teams, public housing authorities, contractors, and energy offices.
• Ensure project plans integrate rebate eligibility into procurement and construction sequencing.
• Monitor changes in guidelines and manage risk to rebate eligibility.
