Job summary

General Motors in Warren seeks a senior leader to manage a large group of Interior Engineering Designers and DLTs in the IPFC Design group. You will staff, train, direct priorities, and drive technical leadership for vehicle programs.

You will develop processes and standards to support GM's business strategies and remove roadblocks to delivery. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology and 8+ years in design leadership, with NX and Teamcenter experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology and 8+ years in Design with leadership experience.
Experience in product development and design/release activities.
Strong knowledge of engineering systems and processes (e.g., GxDP, GSTS, VIS Mock-up, GPDS, GD&T, BOM).
Ability to propose technical alternatives to balance priorities and to mentor others.

Responsibilities

Provides strong technical leadership and guides team to successful vehicle program execution.
Staffing, communication, training and development, directing and prioritizing work, evaluating performance.
Remove roadblocks and drive design deliverables in IPFC group.
Develop processes and standards to support business strategies and GM policies.
Identify and lead staffing initiatives for the work team.
