Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Industrial Design, Environmental Design, or related field.
• 7+ years of professional experience in architecture, interior, experiential, or environmental design.
• Ability to translate brand and product strategy into spatial experiences across global markets.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) for visualizations and presentations.
• Proficiency in 3D design and visualization tools such as Rhino and Enscape for spatial concepting and visualization.
• Experience with AI-based tools for concept development, visualization, and animation.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects from concept through execution.
• Strong communication and presentation skills for diverse stakeholders.
• Position is primarily on site at the Design Center in Warren, Michigan, with some flexibility under Work Appropriately.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end conceptualization, visualization, and development of corporate environments and branded experiences.
• Design spaces and spatial details including interior architecture, finishes, furniture, fixtures, and environmental graphics.
• Collaborate with GM Design, Marketing, Facilities, Fabrication and Prototyping, and external agencies to ensure cohesive experiences.
• Use 2D/3D tools and physical models to explore and refine design concepts.
• Work with product design, engineering, and fabrication teams to integrate vehicles into spaces.
• Oversee installations, document design intent, coordinate with vendors, and conduct on-site reviews.
• Manage multiple complex projects, set creative direction, mentor junior team members, and present concepts to stakeholders.
