Rocket Software in the United States seeks a Senior Counsel, Risk & Enforcement to lead strategy for intellectual property and technology disputes. The role partners with product and engineering teams to align legal risk with business goals and to drive proactive dispute prevention and readiness.

The attorney will guide outside counsel, manage investigations, and advise leadership on settlement and enforcement strategies, while shaping compliance and governance across licensing and trade secrets.

Qualificações

• J.D. from an accredited law school and in good standing.
• Minimum 10 years total legal experience, including 5 years in law firm litigation and in-house work.
• Extensive IP/technology dispute experience with software, trade secrets, copyrights, patents, licensing or open source matters.
• Engineering or technical background preferred; ability to discuss complex technical concepts with engineers.
• Proven ability to lead litigation readiness, internal investigations and outside counsel management.

Responsabilidades

• Lead strategy for IP and technology disputes, including trade secret, patent, copyright and licensing issues.
• Serve as legal partner for major software disputes, translating technical facts into legal strategy.
• Develop and maintain litigation readiness programs and escalation processes.
• Lead internal investigations and pre-litigation assessments on IP and related misconduct.
• Advise on license compliance, audit rights, negotiations and resolution structures.
• Manage disputes with vendors, partners, and third parties, aligning with business goals.
