Job summary

A premier international law firm in Boston is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its Intellectual Property Litigation Group in a hybrid role. The position offers exposure to high-stakes patent and technology disputes and collaboration with leading trial lawyers and technology specialists.

Ideal candidates will have a JD from a top-tier law school with excellent academic records, bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction, and a strong background in IP disputes and patent litigation, including

Qualifications

• JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record.
• Active Bar Admission in applicable jurisdiction in good standing.
• Strong background in intellectual property disputes, particularly patent litigation.
• Proven ability to take and defend depositions and manage motion practice.
• Skilled in written discovery, fact development, and expert discovery.
• Demonstrated proficiency drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation‑related filings.
• Familiarity with IP/ITC matters is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline preferred.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in sophisticated intellectual property and patent litigation matters.
• Conduct all phases of written discovery, fact development, and case strategy.
• Take and defend fact and expert witness depositions.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, and other litigation‑related documents.
• Manage expert discovery and collaborate with technical and industry experts.
• Assist with trial preparation, hearings, and strategic litigation planning.
• Support clients in IP/ITC proceedings and PTAB matters when applicable.
• Assist with ITC investigations and related proceedings as opportunities arise.
