We Do The Search, a premier international law firm, seeks an Associate Attorney to join its Intellectual Property Litigation Group in a hybrid role across Boston, Denver, New York, Palo Alto, San Francisco, Los Angeles, or Washington, D.C. The successful candidate will handle high-stakes patent litigation with leading trial lawyers, collaborating across technology-focused practices.

The role offers courtroom, discovery, and strategic litigation experience in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• JD from a top-tier law school with excellent academic record.
• Active Bar Admission in applicable jurisdiction in good standing.
• Strong background in intellectual property disputes, particularly patent litigation.
• Proven ability to take and defend depositions and manage motion practice.
• Skilled in written discovery, fact development, and expert discovery.
• Demonstrated proficiency drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation-related filings.
• Familiarity with IP procedures (IPR/ITC) a plus.
• Electrical/Electronic/CS or related technical background preferred.
• Equivalent technical or industry background will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in sophisticated intellectual property and patent litigation matters.
• Conduct all phases of written discovery, fact development, and case strategy.
• Take and defend fact and expert witness depositions.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, and other litigation documents.
• Manage expert discovery and collaborate with technical and industry experts.
• Assist with trial preparation, hearings, and strategic litigation planning.
• Support clients in IPR proceedings and PTAB matters when applicable.
• Assist with ITC investigations and related proceedings as opportunities arise.
• Work closely with clients in technology-driven industries on complex disputes.
