Job summary

Milwaukee Tool is seeking an IP Docketing Manager in our Brookfield, WI office to lead docketing initiatives and ensure accuracy and timeliness of patent and trademark docketing. This hands-on leadership role combines deep docketing expertise with strong people management to drive process improvements.

You will mentor staff, train professionals, and serve as the go-to resource for complex inquiries, while safeguarding data integrity.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of comprehensive docketing experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge of U.S. and foreign patent and trademark prosecution from inception through completion.
• Proficiency with IP docketing/management systems (e.g., CPI, PATTSY, Anaqua, or similar).
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-directed, self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to train and coach others and to present materials effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day IP docket operations and respond to inquiries from the IP Team.
• Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and consistency of all docketing.
• Lead docketing staff by assigning work and monitoring workload.
• Maintain written docketing policies and monitor rule changes.
• Maintain data integrity of the IP docket database and verify records.
