Job summary

Curriculum Associates, LLC is seeking an Intellectual Property & Contracts Paralegal to support in-house counsel with complex MOUs, IP protection, and contract matters in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

You will assist with trademark, copyright, domain-name registrations, IP docketing, licensing records, and drafting Terms of Use and related disclosures, while coordinating with Product, Marketing, and Engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or ABA-approved paralegal certificate required.
• 3–6 years paralegal experience, including at least 2 years in-house at a tech/software company.
• Strong understanding of standard SaaS/commercial contract terms, data privacy and regulatory considerations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate trademark, copyright, and domain-name registrations and renewals.
• Manage IP docketing and coordinate with outside counsel on filings and strategy.
• Maintain copyright registrations and licensing records.
• Support product lifecycle reviews, and input from Product/Marketing/Engineering.
• Draft or review Terms of Use, EULAs, and policies; assist with disclosures.
• Deliver training on IP, product, and contract topics to internal stakeholders.
• Assist with special contracts and MOUs; escalate novel issues.
• Support CLM system (Ironclad) workflows and approvals.
• Monitor and report on data-privacy and ed-tech regulatory compliance (FERPA, COPPA, GDPR).
• Assist with research agreements and release management.
