Job summary

NRG Energy is seeking a Principal Product Manager, Hardware, to own the intersection of hardware and software for connected home experiences. You will lead a 1–2 year roadmap, drive cross-functional initiatives with hardware and software teams, and ensure reliability and customer satisfaction through data-driven iterations.

Qualifications

• Experience shipping consumer-facing software features, IoT solutions, or connected hardware modules.
• Data sourcing using product analytics platforms or working with data engineers to improve user experiences.
• Education preference: BS/MS in Computer Science, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related quantitative field.

Responsibilities

• Targeted Customer Empathy: understand how customers use product features and hardware daily.
• Data-Driven Iteration: analyze telemetry, logs, and user data to improve adoption and reduce friction.
• Roadmap Ownership: define and drive a 1–2 year roadmap and manage PRD through launch.
• Cross-functional collaboration: align with engineers, UX, QA, and data analysts.
