Job summary

Vivint Smart Home is seeking a Principal Product Manager, Hardware to lead a blended hardware and software product area in Seattle. You will own a 1–2 year roadmap, work across hardware, firmware, and digital apps, and deliver features that improve reliability and customer experience.

The role emphasizes customer empathy, data-driven iteration, and cross-functional collaboration with engineering, UX, QA, and data analytics teams on a hybrid schedule.

Qualifications

• Experience: 4–6+ years of technical product management shipping consumer-facing software/features, IoT solutions, or connected hardware modules.
• Data sourcing: Experience leveraging product analytics platforms with data engineering teams.
• Education: B.S. or M.S. in a technical field preferred; equivalent practical PM experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Targeted Customer Empathy: Develop a granular understanding of how customers use product features and hardware components daily.
• Data-Driven Iteration: Analyze telemetry, logs, and user data to track feature adoption and diagnose usage friction.
• Roadmap Ownership: Define, prioritize, and drive a 1–2 year product roadmap and translate strategy into executable requirements.
• Hardware & Software Integration: Act as the product interface between hardware development and digital application teams.
