Job summary

Nordic Semiconductor is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Cloud Platform team in Boston. You will own the nRF Cloud platform, scale data ingestion from millions of devices daily, and drive reliability and cost efficiency.

Manage a diverse team, mentor engineers, and contribute to architecture and production debugging. You will shape the cloud roadmap, foster a culture of observability, and collaborate with Product, Security, and Go-To-Market teams to align engineering with customer

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software engineering experience with leadership
• Hands-on technically while managing a team
• AWS experience with core services and tooling
• Strong PostgreSQL design, queries, and ops
• Proficient in Python, Kotlin or TypeScript
• Experience deploying and scaling Kubernetes workloads
• Experience with observability tooling and improving reliability
• Excellent written and verbal communication

Responsibilities

• Own the nRF Cloud platform and drive reliability, scalability, and performance while managing cost.
• Own your team's productivity and output, unblock blockers, balance workload, and shape workflows.
• Build and maintain a healthy team culture with clear expectations and feedback.
• Contribute technically through architecture, reviews, and debugging production issues.
• Define and evolve the cloud platform roadmap with action and experimentation.
• Champion observability and technical excellence with meaningful metrics and alerts.
• Partner cross-functionally with Product, SDK/Field Engineering, GTM, and Security.
• Hire well and own the end-to-end hiring process for your team.
• Represent the team across the organization with clear communication.
