Job summary

Janus International seeks a Senior Manager of Engineering to lead the development of a smart access platform for the self-storage industry. You will oversee a small, multidisciplinary team delivering secure, reliable access experiences for operators and tenants.

The ideal candidate has deep IoT/cloud experience and fluency across Go, React, AWS, C++ and native mobile development, guiding architecture and delivery across backend, frontend, and mobile systems.

Qualifications

• 3 years in technical leadership roles.
• Proven success delivering and scaling secure, cloud-connected IoT systems.
• Strong programming skills in Go, with hands-on experience designing and deploying systems in AWS.
• Experience building responsive front-ends with React and native mobile apps (Swift/Kotlin).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, observability tools, and release management in production environments.
• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership: Drive architecture and development of software solutions.
• Ensure scalability, fault tolerance, and security across all system components.
• Drive best practices for code quality, system performance, CI/CD automation, monitoring, and reliability.
• Software Stack & Systems Integration: Go for backend services and APIs, React/TypeScript for web apps, React Native for mobile, AWS for infrastructure.
• Integrate with third-party systems and ensure secure provisioning.
