Job summary

MultiTech is seeking a seasoned software engineer to design and deliver the core infrastructure for a next‑generation IoT cloud platform in Minnesota. You will architect scalable backend services, device databases, and billing systems, enabling secure migration from legacy to modern cloud environments.

The role emphasizes collaboration with Product, Platform, Cloud, and Customer Success teams, with a focus on high code quality, testing, and AI-assisted development tools to boost productivity.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience in enterprise cloud applications.
• Strong expertise in .NET Core, EF Core, REST APIs, and gRPC.
• Experience with GraphQL and designing distributed messaging systems (pub/sub, Service Bus).
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud technologies, specifically App Service and Entra ID.
• Deep understanding of database technologies, specifically Cosmos DB and Redis.
• Working knowledge of containerization and observability, with eye toward future Kubernetes adoption.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement a scalable device database for trusted identity, validation, and catalog structure.
• Design and build scalable backend services and APIs for device management, billing, auth, and admin.
• Build billing and admin capabilities for enterprise readiness, including subscription monetization, RBAC, and auditability.
• Implement IaC using Bicep to automate resource creation and ensure maintainability.
