Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field required; Masters preferred.
• 12+ years of experience in software engineering.
• 2+ years leading managers of engineers preferred.
• Experience owning large-scale distributed systems or platform organizations.
• Experience operating cloud-native systems (AWS preferred).
• Strong experience with APIs, microservices, event-driven architecture, and DevOps best practices.
• Experience leading IoT-connected systems or industrial automation platforms.
• Experience scaling SaaS products across global enterprise customers.
• Background in high-availability systems with real-time constraints.
• Strong understanding of data architecture and analytics platforms.
• Experience influencing executive stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the long-term technical strategy.
• Ensure scalability, reliability, and security across multi-plant global deployments.
• Drive architecture decisions across distributed systems, IoT integration, event-driven services, and data pipelines.
• Establish platform standards for APIs, observability, and infrastructure automation.
• Partner with Product and Hardware teams to enable rapid application development on shared services.
• Build and lead multiple engineering teams.
• Hire, develop, and coach engineering leaders.
• Own uptime, performance SLAs, security posture, and deployment velocity.
• Drive root cause analysis and long-term corrective actions.
• Lead through metrics and establish data-driven decision making.
• Communicate technical strategy to VP-level stakeholders.
