Vanguard is seeking a skilled professional within its Capital Management Investment Stewardship team to develop proxy voting recommendations and engage with portfolio company governance. Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Strong quantitative and analytical abilities.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Sound business judgement to identify risks in ambiguous scenarios.
• Minimum of three years related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop proxy voting recommendations in accordance with policy.
• Engage in discussions around vote recommendations and governance matters.
• Support and manage engagement requests from portfolio companies with analysis of agendas and updates.
• Support engagements through research, prep materials, and documentation of notes.
• Support departmental initiatives to improve outcomes and reduce risk.
• Undertake research to inform decisions and business needs.
• Demonstrate understanding of VCMIS policies and governance.
• Establish and maintain relationships with partners and vendors; communicate ideas and recommendations.
• Share knowledge with less experienced team members on policy applications and governance topics.
• Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned.
