Job summary

The Goldman Sachs Group is seeking a senior professional to lead proxy voting, engagement research, and stewardship activities within Asset & Wealth Management's Global Stewardship Team in New York. You will coordinate across regions, engage with investee companies, and shape governance strategies with portfolio managers to drive long-term value.

You'll collaborate with internal stakeholders, manage policy updates, and deliver strategic reporting and data insights.

Qualifications

12+ years of executing proxy voting and engagement research in asset management.
Experience engaging with publicly listed companies on governance and stewardship strategies.
Ability to partner with portfolio managers and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Design and govern internal working groups; co-chair meetings and prepare materials.
Coordinate approvals and voting positions across EMEA, Americas, and APAC.
Engage with investee company management on governance and strategy; support annual engagement roadmap.
Draft and update proxy voting policies; prepare materials for Proxy Voting Council.
Lead global proxy voting and engagement data collection for stewardship reports.
Manage relationships with third-party proxy service providers and support platform improvements.
Serve as a subject matter expert on proxy voting and governance; contribute to internal briefings.
