Job summary

STRS Ohio in Columbus, OH is seeking a Business Systems Analyst 1 to connect business needs with technology solutions for Investments and Accounting. You will support teams through research, analysis, documentation, testing, and training to optimize business processes.

Under supervision, you will develop solutions, document specs, and provide training for new system releases, contributing to efficient operations and informed decision-making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, accounting or information systems required.
• 1–3 years relevant analysis and programming experience preferred.
• Ability to collaborate extremely well with cross-functional teams and business partners.
• Understanding of relational databases and SQL query tools skills preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment while meeting deadlines with minimal direct supervision required.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with the Investments and Accounting user community, under the guidance of senior analysts, to develop systems enhancements and resolve production problems.
• Document specifications, requirements, user manuals, procedures, and other relevant information.
• Provide test scripts and follow full testing methodology through development and implementation to ensure that quality goals are met.
• Provide training for users on functionality of new systems and enhancement in releases of existing systems.
