Job summary

Placements24 client, a prominent real estate investment firm, seeks an Investment Property Analyst to evaluate real estate opportunities in Welkom and the Free State. You will perform financial modeling, due diligence, and market research to inform investment decisions.

The role requires 3+ years in real estate investment analysis, strong Excel skills, and knowledge of valuation methods. You will prepare memos for the investment committee and monitor portfolio performance in a dynamic market.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Real Estate, or a related quantitative field; Master's degree a plus.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in real estate investment analysis, financial modeling, or corporate finance.
• Strong proficiency in Excel, financial modeling software, and data analysis tools.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Understanding of real estate valuation methods (DCF, comparables, income capitalization).
• Knowledge of Welkom or Free State real estate markets is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Analyze potential real estate investment opportunities in Welkom area (residential, commercial, industrial).
• Perform financial modeling, valuation, and risk assessment for acquisitions and developments.
• Conduct market research to identify investment trends, drivers, and competition in Free State.
• Prepare detailed investment memos and presentations for senior management and investment committee.
• Monitor portfolio assets and identify opportunities for value enhancement.
• Collaborate with acquisition teams to gather data and support transaction processes.

• Develop and maintain databases of property information, market comparables, and financial metrics.
