Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Real Estate Investment Analyst to join a fully remote role supporting strategic initiatives in the South African property market. You will conduct market research, build financial models, perform due diligence, and prepare investment memorandums for senior management.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of experience in real estate finance, strong Excel and Argus Enterprise skills, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Real Estate or related field.
• Master's degree or CFA/CAIA is a plus.
• Minimum 3–5 years in real estate investment, finance, or corporate finance with strong quantitative focus.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel for financial modeling and data analysis.
• Experience with Argus Enterprise is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Conduct market research to identify real estate trends and opportunities in target markets.
• Develop detailed financial models (DCF, IRR, NPV) to assess feasibility and profitability.
• Perform due diligence on potential acquisitions, including financial analysis and coordination with legal teams.
• Prepare investment memorandums, presentations, and reports for senior management.
• Monitor portfolio performance and provide optimization recommendations.
• Stay updated on economic conditions and real estate market news affecting investments.
• Collaborate with brokers, appraisers, and legal counsel in deal processes.
• Assist in structuring and negotiating investment transactions.
