Job summary

You will dig through FOIA requests, analyze data, develop sources, and produce content across broadcast and digital platforms. The role emphasizes accountability journalism and impactful storytelling in the community.

Qualifications

  • Minimum two (2) years of broadcast investigative reporting experience in a small to medium TV market.
  • Must be able to create content for all platforms.
  • Degree in journalism or related field is preferred.
  • Valid driver''s license is required.

Responsibilities

  • Hold the powerful accountable: Use investigative instincts to uncover corruption, waste, and injustice, telling stories that demand change in Cleveland.
  • Master the data: Dive deep into spreadsheets and public records to find the smoking gun, turning complex data into compelling narratives.
  • Build sources: Develop and maintain a deep network of sources that gives us the inside track on the stories that matter most.
  • Create for every screen: Produce high-impact content across all platforms, from broadcast pieces to digital shorts to long-form documentaries and podcasts.
  • Provide the Why: Jump into breaking news to provide deeper context and investigative meat that explains not just what happened, but why it happened.
