Job summary

Talent Portus is seeking an Internal Affairs Specialist on a contract basis to support investigations into misconduct, policy violations, fraud, and compliance matters. The role includes data-log requests, interviewing coordination, and maintaining electronic case files.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year in investigations or related fields, strong ethics, and proficiency with Word, Excel, and Outlook. Independence, confidentiality, and clear communication are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in law enforcement, paralegal work, investigative work, or investigative procedures.
• Experience working with confidential information and demonstrating strong ethics
• 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently while following established procedures
• Strong organizational, analytical, and critical-thinking skills
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent cases
• Prefer experience in fraud, waste and abuse investigations or case management systems

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit Outlook and case-management system data-log requests
• Analyze data reports and create clear, chronological narrative summaries
• Schedule investigation-related interviews and assist with note-taking
• Maintain investigation portals and electronic case files
• Compile evidentiary materials for investigations
• Proofread and edit investigation reports
• Support Internal Affairs, Ethics & Compliance, and related administrative activities
• Manage multiple cases while maintaining confidentiality and following established procedures
