Job summary

Software Technology Inc. is seeking an Internal Affairs Specialist to support the Indiana Department of Child Services Internal Affairs team.

The role involves handling data log requests, interview scheduling, case management, and document review to detect misconduct, fraud, and improprieties. The ideal candidate has law enforcement or paralegal exposure, at least one year of investigative experience, and strong ethics and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Law enforcement experience or paralegal/investigative background required.
• Minimum 1 year of investigative work experience.
• Experience with confidentiality and ethics in prior roles.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to follow structured procedures while handling multiple cases.
• Experience with case management systems is highly desired.
• Experience with fraud, waste and abuse concepts is highly desired.
• Ability to work under supervision with independent judgment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit data log requests via Archer portal.
• Prepare and submit case management data log requests.
• Analyze data log reports and craft narrative summaries.
• Schedule investigation-related interviews.
• Assist with note-taking during interviews.
• Maintain Internal Affairs Referral portal and electronic file system.
• Compile evidentiary materials for investigations.
• Proofread and edit investigation reports.
• Support other Ethics and Compliance Division tasks.
