Job summary

VinFast US is seeking an Inventory & Tax Accountant to join our Finance team in Irvine, CA. The role manages inventory, COGS, fixed assets, and U.S./Canada tax accounting, supporting month-end close and audit readiness.

The ideal candidate has a BA in accounting/finance and experience with SAP or Oracle ERP, along with strong Excel and analytical skills. This is an on-site position within a fast-growing automotive company offering robust internal controls and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• Experience with inventory, COGS, general ledger, and month-end close.
• Advanced Excel skills including PivotTables and data analysis.
• Strong written and verbal communications and ability to work across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage inventory, COGS accounting, and reconcile related balances across SAP/ERP systems and warehouse records.
• Perform monthly inventory and COGS reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analyses.
• Maintain fixed asset records and coordinate asset tagging and depreciation postings.
• Handle U.S. and Canadian tax accounting, filings, and compliance under Global Tax guidance.
• Execute month-end close duties, reconcile accounts, and prepare supporting documentation.
• Support internal controls, SOX compliance, audits, and process improvements.
