Job summary

Stony Brook Medicine is seeking a Facility Operations Assistant 1 - Supply Management Services to perform routine warehouse tasks, break down and restock bulk inventory, and move stock to shelving.

You will verify inventory, rotate stock by expiration dates, process requisitions for hospital and off-site locations, and support daily cycle counts. The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs and a valid NY driver license.

Qualifications

• Must be physically able to perform duties.
• NY driver’s license may be required.
• Read, write, speak and understand basic English.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• PIT operator permit preferred.
• 5 years’ warehouse inventory experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Medical/Surgical inventory and reconciliation preferred.
• Able to stand long periods and lift over 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Break down and restock incoming bulk inventory.
• Place stock on warehouse shelving in large/heavy cases.
• Check stock against physical inventory and locations.
• Inspect expiration dates and rotate inventory as needed.
• Fill requisition supply orders for hospital and off-site locations.
• Deliver requisitioned supplies to hospital units.
• Assist with nursing stat supply requisitions.
• Perform daily cycle counts and inventory reconciliation.
• Conduct physical inventory audits of warehouse supplies.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.
