Job summary

Stony Brook Medicine is hiring a Facility Operations Assistant 1 for the Evening Shift (3:30pm-12am) in the Supply Management Services department. You will perform routine warehouse tasks, restock inventory, check stock, and assist with requisitions and deliveries to hospital units.

This full-time role requires physical fitness, the ability to lift over 50 lbs, and compliance with pre-employment requirements. Salary starts at $37,862 per year.

Qualifications

• Must be physically able to perform the duties.
• Possession of a valid New York State driver’s license may be required.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand verbal communication at a basic level.

Responsibilities

• Break down and restock incoming bulk inventory.
• Place stock on warehouse shelving.
• Check stock against physical inventory for accuracy.
• Inspect expiration dates and rotate stock as needed.
• Fill requisition supply orders for the hospital and off-site locations.
• Deliver requisitioned supplies to the hospital units.
• Assist front-end desk with nursing stat supply requisitions.
• Perform daily cycle counts and inventory reconciliation.
• Conduct physical inventory audits of warehouse supplies.
• Assist with other duties, as assigned.
