APPLIED OPTOELECTRONICS INC in Sugar Land, Texas, is looking for an Inventory Supervisor to oversee daily inventory operations across multiple shifts. You will manage and support Inventory Clerks, ensure compliance with inventory procedures, and coordinate tasks efficiently between production and warehouse teams.
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in inventory management and strong leadership skills. This role requires attention to detail and proficiency in Microsoft Office, with shifts that may vary based on business needs.

Supervise and support daily inventory operations across assigned shifts and sites, including all material issuance, material receipt, inventory transactions, inventory control, and physical inventory activities. Responsible for overseeing Inventory Clerks’ daily operations, ensuring inventory accuracy, supporting department shift/site management, resolving operational issues, coordinating inventory‑related tasks, and maintaining compliance with company inventory procedures and material handling requirements. Ensure smooth communication and coordination between shifts, production, warehouse, and management teams while supporting operational efficiency and inventory control objectives.
This position supports multi‑shift, multi‑location operations.
Candidates may choose or be assigned to one of the following shifts based on business needs:
1st Shift: 7AM – 4 PM
2nd Shift: 1 PM – 10 PM
3rd Shift: 10 PM – 7 AM
Shift assignments, overtime, weekend work, and schedule changes may be required based on operational needs.
