Job summary

Paylocity is seeking an Inventory Supervisor to oversee stock accuracy, organize the warehouse, and supervise the Parts team. You’ll coordinate daily inventory activities and partner with Purchasing, Production, and Operations to support manufacturing goals.

Reporting to the Plant Manager, the role emphasizes cycle counts, process improvements, and timely material delivery to Production while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in inventory, warehouse, or stockroom in manufacturing.
• Previous lead or supervisory experience preferred.
• Lean manufacturing and ISO knowledge preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Punctual and professional interaction with other departments.
• Able to pass drug and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate records of all inventory transactions, deliveries, shipments, and stock levels.
• Ensure the Production Department has the required materials to prevent interruptions.
• Analyze inventory usage and supply levels to anticipate shortages and potential issues.
• Support inventory accuracy initiatives and improve inventory turns.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
• Provide day-to-day supervision, direction, and training for the Parts team.
• Ensure cycle counts are completed and assist with root cause analysis of inventory variances.
• Monitor warehouse organization and material flow to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Collaborate with Purchasing and Production to ensure timely availability of materials.
• Meet agreed-upon goals and objectives in a timely manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

INVENTORY SUPERVISOR

Description

Overview

The Inventory Supervisor is responsible for maintaining organized inventory stock, inventory accuracy, and an orderly warehouse environment. This position supervises the Parts team, coordinates daily inventory activities, evaluates inventory processes, and ensures materials are delivered to Production in a timely manner. The Inventory Supervisor works closely with Purchasing, Production, and Operations to support manufacturing goals and continuous improvement initiatives.

This position reports to the Plant Manager.

Qualifications for Inventory Supervisor

• Minimum of 3 years of inventory, warehouse, materials, or stockroom experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Previous lead, coordinator, or supervisory experience preferred.
• Lean manufacturing experience and understanding of ISO principles preferred.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to interact and support other departments in a professional manner.
• Arrives to work, meetings, appointments, and other work-related functions on time and as scheduled.
• Must pass a drug and alcohol test and a background check.

Working Conditions

This position operates in a warehouse/manufacturing environment with exposure to loud noise levels, weather changes, dust, fumes, and airborne particles (within OSHA permissible limits). The role requires working around moving equipment, machinery, and production tools. Safety training and PPE are provided in accordance with OSHA and company standards.
