Job summary

AEP is seeking a Stores Attendant B to support the Material Services organization in Lima, Ohio. You will help maintain material accountability, operate storerooms and storage yards, and process materials through the system from receipt to storage or shipment.

You will use Maximo and MS Office tools, perform routine inventory counts, and ensure safe handling of hazardous materials when applicable. The role requires lifting up to 70 pounds and meeting the PAT requirement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year in inventory control, material handling, warehousing, or related fields.
• Basic computer skills; Maximo experience and MS Excel/Word preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and pass the Physical Ability Test (PAT).
• Knowledge of logistics related to shipping and inventory movement.

Responsibilities

• Issue material with proper authorization and file records.
• Inspect received material for quantity, identity, and condition.
• Record material returns, stock usable items, and dispose non-usable items.
• Operate inventory systems and office equipment (scanners, printers).
• Prepare material for shipment or storage and maintain shipping records.
