Job summary

AEP Texas is seeking an entry-level Material Services clerk to support material accountability, storeroom operations, and storage yards. You will work under supervision, learning to process receipts, pick and deliver materials, and perform inventory transactions with accuracy.

You will use Maximo, Excel, and Word, and must lift up to 70 pounds. Safety, independent work, and adherence to procedures are emphasized in this role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum one year work experience in inventory control and/or warehousing.
• Basic computer skills with Maximo; Excel and Word experience preferred.
• Knowledge of logistics related to shipping and relocating inventory.
• Ability to perform basic math and work with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Issue material under proper authorization and process related records.
• Check received material for quantity and condition; file records.
• Record material location changes and maintain stock levels.
• Assist in packing/shipping materials, including hazardous materials as required.
• Operate forklifts and hand trucks as trained.
• Support inventory cycle counts and discrepancy adjustments.
