Job summary

AEP in Texas is seeking a Material Services Associate to assist with material accountability, storeroom operations, and storage yard logistics. You will issue materials, inspect received goods, maintain records, operate forklifts and other equipment, and prepare shipments while following safety rules.

A High School diploma and 1 year in inventory control are required; basic computer skills with Maximo, Excel, and Word are preferred. Must lift up to 70 pounds; valid state license required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• 1 year in inventory control, warehousing, or related field preferred
• Basic computer skills incl. Maximo; Excel and Word preferred
• Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs and work independently with good communication
• Knowledge of logistics related to shipping and inventory relocation

Responsibilities

• Issue material with proper authorization and process records
• Check received material and inspect for identity and condition
• Identify, sort, and record returned material and stock usable items
• Operate MMIS terminals, printers, scanners, and basic office equipment
• Prepare shipments and storage, including hazardous materials handling per procedures
• Operate material handling equipment (forklifts, hand trucks) as required
• Assist in maintaining storage efficiency and inventory accuracy
• Follow safety rules and company operating regulations
