Job summary

American Electric Power in Lima, Ohio is seeking a Stores Attendant to support the Material Services organization by handling material accountability, storeroom operations and storage yards. You will issue materials, inspect received items, manage returns, stock usable material, and operate MM systems and forklifts in compliance with safety rules.

A High School Diploma, at least one year in inventory control, and ability to lift 70 pounds are required; CDL within six months if needed, with

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED.
At least 1 year of inventory control/warehousing experience required.
Basic computer skills; Maximo experience; Excel/Word preferred.
Ability to perform duties and lift up to 70 pounds; PAT required.
Must have a valid state driver license; CDL needed within 6 months if required.

Responsibilities

Issue material with proper authorization and maintain required records.
Inspect received material for quantity, identity, and condition; report irregularities.
Sort/record returned material; stock usable items and reclassify non-usable material.
Operate terminals and printers for the materials management system and office devices.
Prepare and pack material for shipment or storage, including hazardous materials as required.
