Job summary

Hitachi Energy is looking for a detail-oriented individual to manage inventory tasks in Virginia, Minnesota. Responsibilities include performing cycle counts, logging shipments, and resolving discrepancies to ensure accurate stock management.

Qualifications

  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift/move items up to 50 lbs.

  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly inventory counts to verify system accuracy.
  • Log incoming shipments and outgoing finished goods accurately.

Job description

Core Responsibilities
  • Cycle Counting: Perform daily, weekly, and monthly physical inventory counts to verify system accuracy.
  • Data Entry: Log incoming shipments, outgoing finished goods, and internal material transfers.
  • Discrepancy Resolution: Investigate stock variances, locate misplaced items, and report any damages, shortages, or overages to management.
  • Material Handling: Safely transport materials to the production line and organize the warehouse for optimal workflow.
  • Quality Assurance: Inspect stock for defects or expiration dates and ensure all inventory is stored according to safety guidelines.
Key Qualifications
  • Education: Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED. An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business is a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Basic to intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel (understanding pivot tables and formulas) and familiarity with SAP.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods, walk, and regularly lift/move items weighing up to 50 lbs. A forklift certification is a highly desired bonus.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong basic math skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with production and logistics teams.
