Job summary

Forgent Power Solutions, Inc. seeks an Inventory Specialist to monitor warehouse stock and perform cycle counting. You will verify materials, process reports and transfers, and support improvements in inventory control processes.

Responsibilities include daily to monthly cycle counts, discrepancy investigations, and reconciliation of counts with ERP records. Proficiency in Excel and experience with WMS/ERP systems are required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2-5 years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or cycle counting.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management principles and best practices.
  • Experience with WMS or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Manhattan) preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic data analysis.
  • Experience in Manufacturing industry.
  • Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in related field is a plus.
  • Relevant Warehouse experience within the past 5 years.

  • Assist in identifying process improvements to reduce inventory errors.
  • Support physical inventory counts and audits as required.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and inventory control procedures.
  • Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) or ERP systems to track and manage inventory.

Job Summary

The Inventory Specialist is responsible for monitoring Warehouse inventory and performing cycle counting duties to ensure that all materials are properly verified and are reflective of reported inventory. The Inventory Specialist will ensure inventory accuracy by accurately counting materials, processing material reports and transfers, and supporting continuous improvement of inventory management processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Must be able to complete various activities in the Warehouse that may require hours of lifting, standing, and carrying parts/components
Schedule
  • Monday- Friday with weekend very likely
  • 1st shift 6:00am-2:30pm
  • 2nd shift 12:30pm- 8:30pm
