Job DescriptionJob Description

Intelligent Traffic Supply Products, LLC is a wholesale distributor of traffic control equipment and intelligent transportation systems. Our products are built to customers’ specifications and sold to municipalities across the state of New Jersey, through contractor sales and government contracts. Our product suite includes Trafficware controllers, traffic signal assemblies, pedestrian crosswalks, video detection cameras, poles, and assorted hardware.\


We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and organized Inventory Specialist to manage and maintain accurate quality of materials and inventory records in our warehouse. The ideal candidate must demonstrate enthusiasm for working with the products and materials produced within the Traffic and Transportations industry, while ensuring that all inventory management runs smoothly, efficiently, and in compliance with company policies.


Key Responsibilities:
1. Inventory Management:

  • Manually track, monitor, and maintain accurate inventory levels.
  • Maintain exclusive responsibility for pulling inventory in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Conduct regular physical inventory counts (cycle counts, full inventory audits) and reconcile discrepancies within the warehouse management system.
  • Manually input, update, and verify inventory data in the warehouse management system (WMS) and/or Microsoft Excel.

2. Shipping and Receiving:

  • Manage incoming shipments by inspecting deliveries and ensuring accurate documentation.
  • Organize and label items in appropriate storage locations for easy access and retrieval.

3. Order Fulfillment:

  • Pick material accurately and efficiently to hand off to production, shipping, or technicians.
  • Coordinate with shipping teams to ensure timely and correct dispatch of items.

4. Quality Control:

  • Inspect products for damage, defects, or discrepancies upon arrival and before shipment.
  • Document in the WMS any quality control issues
  • Collaborate with Purchasing Supervisor to resolve product issues.

5. Process Optimization:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and propose solutions to enhance inventory accuracy and operational efficiency.
  • Implement best practices in inventory control and management.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in inventory management if possible.
  • Valid driver's license required (commercial is not required)
  • 3 years proven experience in manufacturing inventory management
  • Working knowledge with warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel).
  • Very strong attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Past experience in a role with strong focus on accuracy and quality control is required. Detail oriented individual, with proficient skills in organization, continuous learning and problem solving.
  • Experience working with a wide range of complex electrical devices and hardware components within an auto, electrical, plumbing, or similar trade/industry.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs) safely.
  • Ability to stand, walk and operate machinery for extended periods.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Forklift experience required
  • Forklift certification is a plus but not required—must be willing to acquire certification in-house


Nature and Scope:

  • This is an hourly position. Candidates may be required to work hours in addition to the regular work schedule, with overtime pay in accordance with NJ State regulations.
  • 100% of work takes place in a warehouse setting. Wide fluctuations in temperature should be expected. Comfortable and protective clothing must be worn at all times.
