Job Description

The role involves executing, monitoring, and training staff on inventory best practices and SOPs across the store, including front end and pharmacy operations. Responsibilities include managing pharmacy inventory activities such as receiving, counting, ordering, and returns, and ensuring on-shelf availability and planogram accuracy.

Additional duties include reviewing reports and system applications for inventory accuracy, implementing asset protection techniques, and handling claims for overages, shortages, and damages, including prescription drugs. In designated stores, the role may involve opening and closing the store, managing cash handling, and ensuring readiness for business.

Customer Experience

• Engage customers proactively, resolve issues, and model excellent service practices to ensure a positive shopping experience.

Operations

• Manage warehouse and vendor inventory processes, including order creation, review, and receipt.
• Handle deliveries, perform tote audits, verify pharmacy shipments, and execute on-shelf availability processes.
• Assist with pharmacy inventory activities, pricing, and compliance with regulations.
• Support inventory record maintenance, physical inventories, and store system operations.
• Ensure cleanliness and merchandising standards are maintained and support delivery activities and pickup programs.
• In designated stores, serve as the leader on duty, managing POS transactions and related activities.

Training & Personal Development

• Participate in training programs, complete e-learning modules, and maintain required pharmacy licenses/certifications.

Communications

• Act as a liaison between management and staff, communicating tasks, disciplinary issues, and customer feedback.

Minimum Qualifications

• Six months of prior Walgreens experience or one year of retail experience.
• Fluency in English (excluding Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Achieved performance expectations with no recent disciplinary actions.
• Strong attention to detail, multitasking, and operational problem-solving skills.
