Viking Forest Products, a leading forest products trading firm, seeks an Inventory Specialist in Minnesota to support the Crane Mat department. You will manage data entry, documentation, and transactional information while aiding the transition to Dynamics 365.

The role collaborates with Inventory Managers and Traders to ensure accurate records and timely workflows. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable with outbound communications to mills and reload facilities.

Responsibilities

• Order management and tracking.
• Updating spreadsheets and key systems with transactional data (expenses, sales revenues).
• Contact mills and reload facilities to collect Bill of Ladings (BOLs).
• Enter purchase orders and confirmations into order management software.
• Process shipping invoices for payment.
• Maintain spreadsheets of jobs for traders and track rental projects.

Job description

Viking Forest Products is a leading commodity trading company within Forest City Trading Group, a $5 billion employee-owned distributor of forest products. Following record-breaking growth, we are seeking an Inventory Specialist to support our Crane Mat department.

This detail-focused role works closely with Inventory Managers and Traders to manage data entry, documentation, and transactional information. You’ll also play an important part in Viking’s transition to Dynamics 365.

Duties while working with Inventory Managers:

• Order management and tracking
• Updating spreadsheets and key systems with transactional data such as expenses and sales revenues.
• Reaching out (phone calls / emails) to mills and reload facilities to collect Bill of Ladings (BOLs)
• Entering purchase orders and order confirmations into order management software
• Processing shipping invoices for payment

Duties while working directly with Crane Mat Traders:

• Maintaining spreadsheets of jobs for traders
• Obtaining signed copies of rental agreements
• Track rental projects and assisting with inventory management
• Creating and facilitating of documents and Bill of Ladings

Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor or Associate’s degree from a college or technical school preferred.
