Job summary

MSC Industrial Supply Co. in Davenport, IA seeks an Inventory Management Specialist to implement MSC inventory solutions, including VMI and bar-coded systems, and to drive data collection for a best-in-class customer experience.

Under the Solution Implementation Manager, you will handle installations, diagnostics, training, and ongoing support, requiring an Associate's Degree or equivalent and 2+ years in value-added solutions. Travel up to 75% may be required.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or the equivalent relevant experience is required.
• Minimum two (2) years supporting value-added customer solutions / inventory management programs is preferred.
• Experience troubleshooting hardware and/or software preferred.
• Knowledge of MSC-like product lines/services & MSC related experience is required.
• Minimum of two (2) years of general sales experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with MSC Sales Teams to drive solutions and growth.
• Maintains knowledge of MSC solutions including bar coded, VMI, vending and related software.
• Follows Salesforce protocols for project and time management.
• Conducts data collection, solutions recommendations, installations.
• Provides post-install support and proactive customer service.
