The City of Savannah, Water Reclamation Department, seeks a Supply Clerk to manage inventory control and procurement processes. The role focuses on accuracy, customer service, and efficient warehouse operations.

Responsibilities include coordinating shipping/receiving, cycle counts, vendor contract reviews, and purchase orders. The ideal candidate has a HS diploma and experience with vehicle parts inventory software. This on-site role supports city operations and budgeting needs.

Formación

• HS diploma or GED required with 2 years in computerized warehousing or inventory control.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving history.
• Knowledge of parts, materials and supplies for light/heavy vehicles.
• Familiarity with vehicle parts inventory software and standard business software.
• Ability to research parts data and work with vendors.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate the shipping and receiving of supplies.
• Maintain inventory of all supplies, equipment, materials, and tools; perform cycle counts.
• Review contracts to ensure vendor compliance.
• Participate in interviews and selection of vendors; assist in contract specifications.
• Reconcile storeroom inventory against computer-generated reports.
• Prepare fixed asset inventory and capital outlays for budgeting/auditing; research equipment costs.
• Ensure proper storage, accountability, and warehousing of all supplies and equipment.
• Distribute components, commodities, supplies, and equipment to personnel and contractors.
• Create and complete purchase orders using the purchasing department’s software.
